Prototype for Local Businesses

Contact the Business:
Once you’ve identified a potential business, contact them and ask if they are interested in having a website designed for them. Explain that you are offering to create a web design for their business and start with a low-fidelity prototype.

Schedule a Short Meeting:
Invite the business owner to a short meeting to discuss their requirements. Make sure to ask permission to record the meeting for reference. During the meeting, ask the following questions:

  1. What services do they offer?
Gain a clear understanding of their business and the services they provide.

  2. Are they willing to have a web design created for them?
Confirm if they are interested in moving forward with the web design project.

  3. Are they willing to have the UI/UX design and website included in your portfolio?
Ask for permission to showcase the website and design work in your portfolio.

  4. Are they willing to participate in some surveys?
Check if they would be open to answering design surveys or user acceptance tests during the design process.

  5. Do they have additional requests for the website?
Ask if they want to add any custom sections or features to the standard website sections, which include:

    • Landing Page: The main page that introduces the business.
